| Centipede Division |
|
- Each centipede must consist of at least 5 runners.
- The centipede body must be 15 feet long.
- A centipede may be made of any material which is light, flexible and well-ventilated. Allow at least four feet between individual leg segments.
- Head boppers on the head of each segment are required. Six head boppers (i.e., one extra) will be provided at registration.
- The final segment of each centipede may wear a stinger.
- Each segment must be filled with a registered centipede athlete in order to be eligible for official awards.
- During the entire competition, all required body segments must be present in the centipede body.
- Decals or other advertisements for high performance may be displayed on any centipede body.
- All centipedes must start from the rear of pack at the designated Centipede start line.
- The first person in each centipede to cross the finish line determines the finishing time for all.
- Individuals must write their own name and their centipede team name on their runner number tear-off tag.
- There will be one division for Centipedes in the 2008 race.
